Solicitors Richard Body have bought Lullabuys premises

Local solicitors Richard Body have bought the Lullabuys premises in Bohemia Road for £240,000. Partner Richard Body told the Voice ‘Originally, I approached the owner, Masood Iqbal, hoping to buy just the top floor, but he wanted to sell the whole building.’ Richard Body & Co is a firm of solicitors situated on the corner of Lower South Road and Bohemia Road. ‘We specialise in criminal law cases and have three partners: myself, Roman Crummy and Aiden Harvey, plus two others solicitors and four case workers, secretaries and so on. So we were thinking of expanding into the first floor above Lullabuys.’  What will he do with the shop premises? ‘I’m open minded about this, but I’ll be trying to let it out – to a supermarket or something similar. I won’t need it as offices. I’ll use Dyer Commercial to find me a tenant. There’s very little needs doing to the shop as Mr Iqbal, the previous owner, had prepared the shop ready for opening.’ Richard opened his first office in Bohemia in March 2000, on the corner of Upper South Road and Bohemia Road, currently used by Hastings Locksmiths. ‘It’s a good location: economic rents and very close to the Law Courts and police station’.
Seller, Mr Masood Iqbal said he was pleased with the sale price ‘I wasn’t that greedy’ he said. ‘I still intend to go to the USA and try my luck there. I have my business visa. My mother has lived all her life there already. My English wife, Mary, we’ve been married 34 years, doesn’t mind going to the States. It’ll be an adventure. I love  the place. We are going in a few months time and we’ll stay for several months to see how we get on – I don’t want to burn my boats’
